The role:

We are seeking enthusiastic, compassionate Care Service Employees to provide high quality care for our 120 residents in our Bexley village. Working on a casual basis under the direction of the Registered Nurse, you’ll play a powerful role in helping our residents live their best life.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing holistic care to residents with compassion, respect, integrity and dignity
  • Ensuring resident wellbeing and safety whilst respecting their choices
  • Assisting with personal grooming and hygiene, dining and meal support
  • Assist and support residents with medication utilising medication compliance aids; simple wound dressing, etc.
  • Recognise, report and respond appropriately to changes in condition of residents health and wellbeing
  • Maintain accurate documentation throughout each shift
  • Assist in the development of resident care plans

To be successful in this position you will have:

  • Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent.
  • Experience in assisting residents with medication administration and related qualification desirable
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts AM/PM/NT weekdays and weekends
  • Previous experience in an aged care or community health setting
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the aged care industry and person-centred care
  • Outstanding customer service skills and the ability to build and maintain trusted relationships
  • Well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Intermediate computer literacy and strong documentation skills
  • Home care experience desirable

The successful applicant will need to meet the requirements of a Criminal History Check as per the Aged Care Act 1997.
