We are looking for a PART-TIME or CASUAL Catering Assistant to be located at The Village by Scalabrini, Drummoyne. We're looking for someone who is committed to quality, safety, and customer service excellence. The Catering Assistant will be responsible for supporting the Chef Manager and Cooks in the preparation and service of high-quality food offerings for Village residents and families, and for customers of the Village Café. They will work flexibly to assist across a varied catering function, which may include back-of-house food preparation and/or front-of-house food service, as well as a full range of cleaning duties.

Required:

• Previous experience in food preparation within a commercial kitchen, preferably in an aged care or health services environment
• Knowledge of the NSW Food Safety Act and HACCP Principles
• Knowledge of WHS and infection control principles
• Good communication skills and a strong commitment to customer service excellence
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
• Basic to intermediate computer literacy

Desirable:

• Certificate III in Hospitality or equivalent qualification
• Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate
• Ability to speak Italian or other languages
