With seven aged care villages across NSW, six within the Sydney Metro area and the seventh located in regional NSW.

We are seeking a Casual Wellbeing Assistant (weekends only) for our Village in AUSTRAL. 


Your Purpose

You are part of a dynamic care and well-being team that is central to the creation of a vibrant Scalabrini village community.
You are responsible for assisting with activities and events that promote well-being, affirm the individuality of all residents, and enhance connection between residents, families, staff, volunteers, and the broader community. You celebrate and share cultural diversity, and you embrace innovation to enhance the quality and efficacy of well-being programs.


Your Outcomes

  • You assist with person-centred wellbeing programs (lifestyle and recreation) that support, challenge and enhance the psychological, spiritual, social, emotional and physical wellbeing of all residents. You continuously promote opportunities for connection for residents, families, the community and staff.
  • You comply with operational policies and procedures, and actively contribute to continuous quality improvement.
  • You actively contribute to a harmonious and cooperative team culture based on mutual respect and trust.
  • You perform and behave in alignment with the Scalabrini Values, contributing to the achievement of Scalabrini’s Vision and Sono Io objectives.


Your Profile

  • Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle, Diversional Therapy,  or equivalent
  • Unit of competency HLTAID003 (Apply First Aid)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the aged care industry and person-centred care
  • Demonstrated knowledge of dementia care
  • Pro-active and creative approach
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills
  • Intermediate to advanced computer literacy


  • Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent
  • Previous experience in assisting with wellbeing/lifestyle programs and working with volunteers
  • Ability to speak Italian or other languages
