About The Role:

This is a dual role that incorporates both the delivery of the organisational education program to staff and the maintenance of the quality assurance program in the village.  You are able to prioritise effectively to ensure that education and quality components of the role meet the priorities and requirements of the business.  

You are responsible for the development, implementation, review and support of quality assurance and continuous improvement systems and processes at the village.   The quality improvements deliver ongoing compliance with legislation, quality assurance principles and accreditation standards.  The role has a strong emphasis to provide face to face clinical education and the co-ordination of education for staff. 

This is a full time role based at The Village by Scalabrini, Drummoyne 

About You:

You are a contemporary clinician who communicates effectively with Nursing and Care staff and is able to influence staff to achieve better outcomes for residents.   You are responsible for delivering and coordinating the organisational education and induction programs.

Your understanding and management of the quality system allows you to develop specific education,  processes and procedures to rectify gaps identified by data collection activities.     

You'll need to have the following:

  • Registered Nurse Div 1 (registered with APHRA) with a current practice certificate
  • Previous experience as a Registered Nurse working in an aged care environment
  • Previous experience in developing and delivering training programs
  • Understanding of aged care legislation, regulations, standards and issues affecting the aged care industry
  • Understanding of aged care accreditation process
  • Strong analytical ability including  research techniques, statistical methods, auditing evaluation and reporting
  • A commitment to the educational and professional development at all levels
  • Well developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced computer literacy, including applications, in aged care and/ or health services

And it would be great if you had:

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or working towards)
  • Previous experience in coordinating quality assurance programs
  • Ability to speak Italian or other languages
